IAA has long supported registered apprenticeship programs. Our staff has been involved with development, recruitment, selection, curriculum development, education delivery, certifications with third parties, work process development, competency measurement, mentoring apprentices, mentoring mentors and employer staff, establishment of funding streams for apprenticeship, and providing subject matter expertise on apprenticeships. This history spans 20+ years and has reached employers across the United States.
For approximately 4 years, IAA has been performing technical assistance services under USDOL contracts as a sub-contractor for organizations such as Jobs for the Future (JFF), Urban Institute, Maher & Maher and Abt Associates. The technical assistance services have provided guidance on all aspects of apprenticeships, from analysis and decision making to working with employers to develop apprenticeship standards to advising on how to implement an apprenticeship program.
Our services have reached entities such as large employers located in multiple states with 100K+ employees, small single state employers, colleges, workforce development boards, contractor staff, direct sponsors, intermediaries, unions, grant recipients, specific industry sectors, and economic development organizations. The technical assistance we provide is agnostic to industry sector, location and size of organization. If it involves apprenticeship, we can help.
